NEW CONTESTANTS

There will be a MANDATORY New Contestant Meeting on Saturday July 6th, time and place to be posted at Registration.  This meeting will be conducted by the Arena Director to include a roll call of all NEW Contestants.

New Contestants should be aware of Dress Code, Alcohol and Drug influences.  Along with procedures for Rough Stock Riding, Shared Riggings, Animal Welfare and General information.  Please take the time to inform yourself on the rules of IGRA sanctioned Rodeos.

We encourage all New Contestants wanting to compete in an IGRA sanctioned Rodeo to Pre-Register with the IGRA office a minimum of thirty (30) days in advance of your first rodeo.  This may be done by contacting the IGRA Administrative Assistant at This email address is being protected from spambots. You may also join the Colorado Gay Rodeo Association by completing an application either online at cgrarodeo.com or during our Registration at Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo, on July 5th.  Registration will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

ALL CONTESTANTS

Rodeo Events will take place on Saturday July 06th and Sunday July 07th with a Rodeo start time of 10:00am, each day.  Events for the 37th Annual Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo shall be: Ranch Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Steer Riding, Chute Dogging, Calf Roping on Foot, Mounted Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Flag Racing, Pole Bending along with the Camp Events of Steer Decorating, Goat Dressing and Wild Drag Race.

Please note that with the change of the 2019 IGRA Rodeo Rule 1, Section 8 (c), ALL Rough Stock Riding Events are required to be Pre-registered for.  There will be NO Exceptions.

Contestants must enter a minimum of One (1) Event per GO, or Two (2) Events on one day.  A Non-Refundable deposit of Sixty Dollars ($60.00) must accompany your Pre-Registration.  Deposits can and shall be forfeited to the hosting Member Association if the Contestants fails to show up for the Rodeo.  It is also required that Contestants requiring stalls reserve the appropriate numbers for the weekend.

 

DAY MONEY

Shall be paid in accordance with IGRA Rodeo Rule XIV

 

PRIZE MONEY
has been added in the form of an Added Purse as follows:

 

$2500.00

To be paid to the Top Four (4) Contestants, both in the Men and Women’s categories in all events excluding Camp Events, in addition to Day Money.  There will be Roll-Ups allowed with the Added Purse, however the will be NO Roll-Overs of these funds from Day to Day.

 

$2500.00 Rodeo Directors High Point Award.

On behalf of our Rodeo Director and his Assistant Rodeo Directors, this additional purse is being offered.  We will be paying a High Point Award to both the Men and Women in the Four (4) Categories with the Highest Point Totals for the weekend.  Total points from both Saturday and Sunday Performances will be used.

 

AWARDS & VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DINNER

Sunday July 7th. 2019 on the Midway.  ALL contestants are invited to attend.  Start times for both the Dinner and Awards will be announced throughout Sunday’s Rodeo performance.  There will be a $10.00 charge for anyone wishing to join us for Dinner with the Volunteers.  Rodeo Buckles shall be awarded to Event Champions as well as the All-Around Cowboy and Cowgirl during the ceremony.

 

CONTESTANT REGISTRATION

The Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo (RMRR) is a sanctioned IGRA Rodeo Event.  Please visit www.igra.com  for additional information pertaining to registration.

ALL Rules and Regulations will apply to RMRR.  There is one variance on file should the need arise to move this Event to the Indoor Arena.  That is for an Arena Size of 100’x205’

NEW CONTESTANTS MAY CONTACT THE IGRA OFFICE TO OBTAIN AN IGRA NUMBER A MINIMUM OF THIRTY (30) DAYS PRIOR TO THE RODEO AND COMPLETE AN ON-LINE REGISTRATION.

Contestants with existing IGRA Numbers may Pre-Register on-line through IGRA.  To register go to:  https://www.rodeosystem.com/rodeo-schedule.php?org=IGRA  On-line registration must have a date and time stamp by 10:00pm Mountain Time and be received no later than fifteen (15) days prior to the Rodeo’s first event performance.

On-Line Registration is set to open beginning May 31st, 2019

Deadline for Pre-Registration is June 21st, 2019

 

LATE REGISTRATION POLICY

The Colorado Gay Rodeo Association and Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo will accept LATE Registrations for a Fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00).  This Fee applies only to contestants who have been assigned a four (4) digit IGRA contestant number at least 30 days prior to Rodeo.  This Fee will apply to ANY and ALL Events offered at RMRR.

Contestants wanting to add Events to their Pre-Registration may do so, with the exception being Rough Stock Events.  ALL Rough Stock Events MUST be Pre-Registered.  This includes New Contestants.

Registration at the Grounds shall take place on Friday July 5th, 2019 from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the Pole Barn Area.
